Capboard Product Updates: December 2024 Highlights

As 2024 draws to a close, we’re excited to share our latest product updates and enhancements that make managing equity even easier and more accurate.

These updates are designed to streamline workflows, improve usability, and ensure data accuracy for all our customers. Here’s what’s new this month:

Enhanced Precision

  • 6 Decimal Digits for Price Per Share in Financing Rounds
We’ve added the ability to input up to six decimal digits when creating financing rounds, ensuring accuracy for even the smallest share price variations.

  • Improved Calculations for Company Valuations
Valuations now fully account for all decimals in calculations, avoiding discrepancies caused by rounding. For example, 398,200 shares at €8.07100 now correctly calculate to €3,213,872.20

  • Grants with Decimal Vesting
Vested amounts in grants now match decimals precisely in the “Available” field. Additionally, for terminated grants, vested amounts also include decimals for greater accuracy.

  • CSV File Enhancements
Exported CSV files now capture up to six decimals and include the current price per share for added context.

Streamlined Usability

  • Quick Access with a New ➕ Button
Easily create a new company or add a stakeholder with the new “+” button, simplifying key actions.

  • Price Per Share in Issue Transactions
The price per share is now visible in the Issue Transaction list view, offering better clarity and readiness.

  • Long Names in Equity Plans
Full visibility of long equity plan names ensures you can easily identify and manage your plans without truncation.

  • SAFE/Convertible Note Enhancements
When converting SAFEs or convertible notes, the number of issued shares as of the conversion date is now displayed, consistent with the “Convert All Unconverted Convertibles” view.

  • Save Selected Columns in the Cap Table
Your selected columns are now saved for easy access and continuity, making your cap table experience even more seamless.

  • Cap Table ROI and Multiple Columns
View investor ROI and multiples directly in the cap table and convertible notes sections from the company’s perspective. This provides deeper insights into investment performance.
