How to send Investor Updates on Capboard?

A step by step guide on how to create and send investor updates on Capboard to keep all the interested parties in the loop.

Keeping investors in the loop can be greatly beneficial for companies. Sending out investor updates to different stakeholders and being able to ask for help and receive guidance in a timely manner can significantly increase your chances of success. At the same time, being able to provide context to all the interested parties and ensuring you continuously build trust and confidence in you and your company in the eyes of investors matters.

Here is how to create and send Investor Updates on Capboard in less than 5 minutes using a template (given that you’ve done your homework):

  1. Go to the Investor Relations — Updates section on the left-side menu of your company’s account.
  2. From there, you can choose between 5 templates or create your own (blank option) to write your update.
  3. Once you click on any of the options, you will be able to fill out the report with your numbers and data. Make sure to change the name of the investor update report at the top so it’s labeled correctly (company name, quarter, month, etc.).
  4. You’re not limited to the fields that are present in your chosen template. You can personalize the update as much as you desire.
  5. Once your report is ready, you can click on the preview button (the eye symbol) to see how an investor update will look. Also, you can send a test email by clicking on the “Send Test” button. Enter the email you want to send the test to in order to. Sending a test email will help you ensure everything is correct and works well.
  6. When you are ready to send the investor update to the greater public, click on the “Send” button at the top right corner. List the receivers’ names or emails, depending on whether they are already added to your company’s stakeholder list. You can also add them by group.
  7. Once the investor update is sent out, you will have access to the engagement stats, including the open rate, average reading time, reactions, and click-to-open rate.
  8. If you want to send this particular update to more people, you can do so again by using the “send” button and listing all the additional individuals you want to share it with.
  9. Congrats! You now know how to create and send investor updates with ease and track engagement metrics so you can keep your investors and other key stakeholders informed.
