About us

Luminate is a nonprofit grant-making organization that supports civil society organizations around the world working to protect and advance human rights. Founded in 2018, Luminate invests in organizations and initiatives that fight for freedom of expression, combat discrimination, advance digital rights, and promote greater accountability and transparency in government and corporate activities. Luminate also provides resources and support to help organizations become more effective, including through capacity building, strategic planning, and access to technology.
